*clears throat*

Er...hello. So I suppose I'm...uh...new here.

So I'm Chris. 22 years old. I'm finishing an English major and enjoy all aspects of writing and literature, with the possible exception of that MLA/grammar garbage.

I'm also a actor/student filmmaker on the side, and am a founding/performing member of the sketch comedy troupe Insert Disc Two.

I've been reading Adams for years and always found his unique skill as an author brilliant. (His absurd play with language is implemented so well that it feels practically effortless.)

Oh yes, and though I hate to admit it, I'm one of those bland "Americans" they're always talking about on the TV.

Nice to be here!

Well, from a real-life journalist who plays a towel in the forum, to a real-life English major who plays a journalist on the forum, have a:

Journalist Cocktail
Ingredients:
* 1 1/2 tsp Sweet Vermouth
* 1 1/2 tsp Dry Vermouth
* 1 1/2 oz Gin
* 1/2 tsp Triple sec
* 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
* 1 dash Bitters
Mixing instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Yogurt! Hah! Congratulations good frood, that routine was the silliest thing I’ve seen today, and that’s saying something, as I am a rather keen observer of very silly things.
I myself used to make videos, you know, but I’m hoping you’ll not judge me too harshly for that as I was merely young, foolish, and needed the money…But enough about me. Let me instead be the 15th to bid you a hearty welcome to this froodishly fine forum. (though it doesn’t belong to me or anything, mind you. Why the moderators allow some cheeky American guy to stand at the front door and bid glib welcome to whoever happens to be passing by is completely beyond me, but here I am.)
So come on in, make yourself at home. There’s (somebody’s) beer and food in the fridge, turn the stereo up as loud as you like, and invite all your friends too. Hell, go ahead and invite the ones you don’t like as well for all I care. Maybe we could stand around, drink beer and savagely mock them. Might be a hoot. :happy:

Have an anchor and Welcome!

Greetings from Scotland! Where the Haggis roams free!! :lol:
I though it was about time I introduced myself.
I'm Paul from Braveheart country in a town that sucks called Falkirk(which has a crap football team, a shopping mall that's gat one floor and a cinema that up untill a couple of years ago only had three screens!) and my friends call me Troozers. It's a nickname I picked up during my College years whilst experimenting with a certain weed, a bong or three and a Playstation! :mrgreen:

I enjoy music like Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Pink Floyd plus plenty more bands that don't feature in the charts! Favorite films are Evil Dead trilogy, Darck City, Easy Rider, Star Wars 4,5&6, Dune & The Children of Dune, Battle Royal (Asia Extreme) and various Mangas like Akira and Ghost in the Shell.
I also have an ever expanding book collection. Which started off with The Hitch Hikers Guide. :happy:

Welcome Troozers.

(Hope that's Gusty's gift of a Donald wasn't intended as cockney rhyming slang :shock: )

Anyhoo, have some wrong troozers:

And I think from your intro that you'll bring some much needed new blood to our group....oops, did I say "new blood"? I meant...um...*cough*....perspective...yes, perspective, that's right... :mrgreen:
