Had to go check the label and to my surprise, this one's Bulgarian! I don't think I've ever had Bulgarian wine before, and quite frankly probably won't ever again, not intentionally anyway. I will however, finish off this bottle.

I've never tried sake before and I'm in no hurry to again.
Reminds me of a good cream sherry gone bad.

Something white and german - I forget exactly what.
Goes well though with the lovely dinner enjoyed out on the deck while watching the sun set (thought we'd better take advantage of the opportunity to dine alfresco one last time before the cicadas become unbearable).

Nothin' wrong with an Australian Chardonnay - but from last week(!) Two days max here.
I've got more of the white German stuff myself. Can't read the label - not because I've had too much, but because it's all in German. Good though.

The Australians are coming out with some of the best wines available at the moment. Once open you should refrigerate it (including the red stuff) and drink it within 2 days. This of course goes for any wine, how do you make it last so olong?

Well, Mrs Tony had some friends around and it was a bottle that got started then replaced in the cupboard without my knowledge...I mean, no-one even signed it out of the register for a start....what's the point of a system if no-one sticks to it, eh? tsk, tsk, tsk....

I think it's 5 or 6 days old, but it's still drinkable....well, to me anyway.
