I wanted to write and
introduce myself since
although manners can ruin you
I still think they're important.

I've enjoyed following the discussions
on the board over the past few weeks
and possibly I have one small idea to contribute.
Please don't expect too much of me
I'll only disappoint you.

Best regards,
ISBN

Welcome, Have an "Isben" (At least that's what they apparently call him at the University of South Florida)

Dear god! Isben?

How dare they make fun of Henrik Ibsen like that? One of the great Norwegian authors (-Ibsen, Bjørnson, Kielland and Lie.)

The only bad thing about them is that they're Norwegian. But I guess no one's perfect

I was going to just post a pic of Ibsen, then thought...someone's bound to have misspelled it, that should be good for a laugh. So I did a google search hoping to find a website with a typo. Sadly I found one - from a university, no less - that consistently mispelled it on numerous pages and files.

just out of interest, why did you want to post a picture of Ibsen in the first place? :???:

It just came to mind when thinking of pronouncing "ISBN". I was pondering some lame sort of dyslexia comment to go along with it. Since I wasn't coming up with anything remotely funny, I decided to look up the misspelling instead.

Perhaps because it was the university of South Florida...people in that state seem to have a penchant for mucking things up.

Oh ho ho, no chance you'll get me to admit I was refering to anything close to the fraudulent election of George W Bush Jr. the son of George Bush Sr. Not a chance!
