This may be hard because many fans of Led like very different songs by them. We are mostly agreed that they are one of the greatest bands EVER. So, lets pick their best song.

I'll try to keep Other from winning.

But you just did!

Wait, mg, did you vote for "The Battle of Evermore?"

I know that has always been your favorite.

Man! I AM A MAN!

YaY!

I thought you loved "The Battle for Evermore." You're always doing the tune, "Bah na na, bah na na, dah na na, dah na na, who let the sun beat down upon my face..."

Erm ... I think maybe you've got that confused with Kashmir ...

Bah na na, bah na na, dah na na, dah na na
Oh let the sun beat down upon my face - stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed

Here's what happens,

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are planning to meet with a minor crime boss in Amsterdam, and Matt Damon (yeah, the characters have names, but does anyone care?) wants to come along. They agree to let him come, but warn him that the boss speaks his own wierd language.

They arrive, and start talking in wierd, unrelated anecdotes, all really meaning something else. Then they all turn to Damon, who is hopelessly lost, for some sort of remark.

Not knowing what to do, he says
"Oh let the sun beat down upon my face - stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space to be where I have been "

which translates "Your niece is a whore"

Out of curiosity have you heard Come With Me by P. Diddy/Puff Daddy/Whatever-the-hell-his-name-is? Its basically a very silly (and pointless) hip-hop remake of Kashmir. Its on the soundtrack to the equally silly (and pointless) American Godzilla remake.

I'm afraid so. If you haven't heard it, do yourself a favor and avoid it all costs. Not because its hip-hop, but because its a truly ridicuclous song.

Puff my boy, you need to stop with the polls, you never include the right songs.

Immigrant Song is my favorite.

You know what else is missing? Since I've Been Loving You.

A great song, showcasing Page's talent, and Plant's singing voice.

IMHO... Zeppelin is nice to hear on the radio once in a while, but I don't see why everyone is mad as a box of frogs about their stuff. They have a few timeless songs, but I can't abide by how their vocalist sings. To each his own, though.

I'm a big Beatles, Bowie, Who fan. I kinda feel the same way about the Stones as I do about the Zepp too.

I'm the same way with Guns 'n' Roses. Axel Rose sounds like a cat being castrated by rusty scissors soaked in lemon juice.

I'll probably need therapy to get this image out of my head. Good thing it's sort-of amusing. Yipes.

Well said, although I quite the Stones.

People, lets just face it, for better or worse, Led Zeppelin is terribly overplayed on classic rock radio. I like them, I really do, just as much as I do the Stones. But they're still very overplayed.
