I second that. Pop-punk sucks! (OK, so Green Day is kinda pop-punk. BUt other than that...)

Well... er... sorry. I have never really enjoyed punk music... The Ramones were really overrated and I find myself sticking to Rock.

Sorry all!

It's not my favorite either, but I do enjoy it. Old punk.

Yeah, old punk. Real punk. Like from England. In the 70's.

If you'd like to read a very good book on the subject, check out England's Dreaming by Jon Savage.

A wonderful account of the music, fashion and politics of the time.

I don't remember who it was, but I once saw a band do a show on tv, and damn if it wasn't the funniest thing I'd ever seen. Here's this band, terribly popular on the radio, MTV, and record stores. But when they ahd to play for real, they were terrible. It was painfully obvious that 99% of their music was coming out of a very expensive box of electronics in the studio. then when they take away the box, it reverts to that 1% actual musical ability. It reminded me of a Simpsons episode.

Yvan eht nioj!

Also, how the hell did Metallica ever become popular? They aren't good now, and they weren't good when they started. So... what the hell? My guess is too many aqua net fumes in the 80's.
