Hi, my name is Sam Stokes. I am new here on the forum. I have been an H2G2 fan since about 1993 when I was first introduced to it, via a cassette tape of the album version of "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe." I was hooked and went on to read every book written by Douglas Adams.

I'm a music theory student and teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I am working on some H2G2 songs at present.

Aloha, Sam!
I'd give you a welcome moon, but I left them all at home ... hope you feel properly welcomed nonetheless.

Welcome Sam!

Here's a helpful sign to see you around the place.

Wow,
I've never been so warmly welcomed to a forum! Thanks all!

@Tony - Thanks for the music theory facts sheet, that will be a useful tool to give my students in the rudiments of music class I'm teaching next year.

@AlohaJoe - thanks for the Sam Beckett photo. I love Quantam Leap and Star Trek as well. My wife actually came up with my son's middle name "Archer" when we were watching Star Trek: Enterprise. I also liked the name because I am a big fan of the Robin Hood legend. I think I will make this my profile pic.

I wish I'd had the theory factsheet when I was at school. I'm sure I broke all of those rules when rewriting Bach chorales.
