I've got viral bronchitis and I gave it to Silvius. The two of us were miserable yesterday.

Also, this is a bit out of date, but Google was celebrating Jim Henson's birthday about two weeks ago, and it made me very sad. All of my favorite people seem to be dead... (Douglas, John Inman, Wodehouse...)

Hey, plans are meant to be changed...aren't they? And this only goes to prove the wonderful randomness and unpredictability of the Universe. Right?

Not helping?

Ah, well, have a big one of these then...

Keep breathing and don't kill anyone Nell. Things will change, as they always do.

last night i nearly impaled myself on a clotheshanger. the beast struck about an inch next to my solar plexus, powered by the full force of my clumsy body. didn´t break skin, but surely put the !whoosh! out of me and wil leave a very nasty bruise, i´m sure.
no, i don´t now either how i managed to do this.

This week has been jammed packed with annoying. I feel like I've had no free time whatsoever. Maybe next week will be better?

Took dragonprincess to the Opera for a performance of Mozart's Requiem.

Sold out, so the usual empty chair to my left was occupied. Nice actually.

But, the "occupant" was a cologne drenched tweeting photographing... erm... young female individual... Unfortunately wringing the neck of other patrons at the Opera is not encouraged.

I want to bitch about the fact that i'm having to ditch a large number of older pc games because they point-blank refuse to work on Windows 7. So it's goodbye to Doom 3, Thief Deadly Shadows (which i cannot reccomend highly enough), Dungeon Keeper 2 and quite a few others. Having said that, the speed improvements of Windows 7 over Vista is superb and almost entirely well overdue.

Yep, none of my racing games work on Windows 7 as well. But currently I don't have time for gaming anyway...

On the games thing, my iMac is set up to run WIn7 through Parallels for work stuff and XP through Bootcamp for playing games. But I hardly ever use it 'cause I steal my daughters iPad and mess with that instead!

Oh, and I've got a cold too.. bah!!

Mine is dying. It is ancient and everything runs slowly. If I have two windows open at a time I get the spinning beach ball of death while whatever it is loads. Vagababy also needs a new Mac Book, so we will go to the Apple store and give them heaps of money for shiny new devices. :)

no reason to be sad, as i´ve seen in the "celebration"-thread...

me: bitching about a client who used to be nice and docile but has done a "mr. hyde" out of the blue. i suspect executive meddling by his new business partner. no idea how i´ll handle this yet, i have half of a mind to just let him sort his own mess out.

I broke my Kindle. It was on my couch, a duvet accidentally got on it. As I was standing up, and pushed down on my hands, I pressed down on the Kindle. The screen has now gone to crap. Lucky that Amazon has such good customer-service and, even though it was my own dang fault, they will send me a replacement for $85, $104 less than I paid for it originally.

Car Insurance (or should i say Car In-Soo-Rance based on working associates!) is damnably expensive for a Provisional driver, even for someone more mature in years than your regular first-time learner... Also having a highly 'nickable' vehicle doesn't help, apparently. Hey, what can i say, i love Mini's, both old and new!

Also, that movie was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Actual shit is better than that piece of shit.

Computer designers.

They can NEVER have lived anywhere near a cat...

* on/off button on top of computer i.e. just at the warm and cosy spot where kitteh takes nap...
* keyboards with buttons that effectively alter/affect ANYTHING you're currently working with...

I love my cats - at least as long they don't help me...

...and now I'm updating the iPad again... somehow I fear a new bitch is coming...

If it's 5.01, use the over-the-air option. Means you don't have to connect it to one of those nasty Windows computers - you'll be done in no time.
