Listen yourself, Shakira, do you do this a lot, posting cryptic remarks on other people´s threads and unspecified links, yet which they are obviously supposed to follow, to absorb even more of your abundant wisdom?

Yeah, I know, Scratch, that was pathetic, plus, no more given fingers to erase... guess, this thread is getting old.
So, folks, to keep you from boredom, I have to give you something new to snarl at me, I´m afraid!
Coming soon!

Edit, 15.8.11: I have accepted I will not be authorised with my sixth-volume-version and will therefore rewrite it into a parody, 24...! To be seen at (comments welcome): http://www.douglasadams.se/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=17124

What?
Mr. Crazypants, the rogue fan-ficer accepts?
What´s to become of our world, if this guy accepts and just shuts his wug and becomes a peaceful member of the community, how do we live on if our believes are shattered, you think. We thought it´s not the size of the dog in the fight, it´s the size of the fight in the dog, didn´t we?
Quite rightly you do.

So, of course, I have to alter a bit what I´ve said.
I have accepted I will not be authorised with my sixth-volume-version for now.

Mr. Victors no is final, I have been told and I accepted, I mean, I have attacked the man frankly enough. For which I don´t apologise, by the way, for I think he deserves it. Big publishers, big literature agents are structures, which are not democratic or transparent at all, to avoid a word I have used before.

I consider myself as an indie-writer and the future to belong to those. When you look at the possibilities f.ex. Amazon offers - big publishing houses and their marketing structures are a thing of the past. They become Dinosaurs, too big to not fail. A book there takes a year to be on the market and look at all the busy little authors scurrying below their feet, self-publishing their book - as an ebook it´s available within just a couple of days! Oh, and how fast our time is...!

For what I apologise, and again, it doesn´t matter, is that I went too far in my anger, without really meaning it (for I thought it wouldn´t reach anyone anyway) and was injust towards people who cannot be claimed at all responsible for weaknesses of the literature-business. Moreover I certainly can´t blame them for their lack of interest in the works of The Great Jochen Lembke, certainly not.

Now, when you look at Big Vics biography, for example on Wiki, three things are quite impressive - how powerful he is, that he´s been born in the Bronx, NYC (that means he certainly knows how to fight) and, third, how old he is. A no of a man born in 1939 doesn´t really bother me, I can wait until he retires and there´ll be someone else.

Yet, until that day, to become authorised is not the most important thing for me anymore, for I can write a book itself about the story of my manuscript "42" and important men in literature business and I will, by the way!

So, of course I will do the parody "24...!", yet at the same time "42" still lingers there somehow meaningful, like the three dots before the exclamation mark!

I think you can get something from the doctor for that.

I´ll come and help. For insulation we can use that huge pile of my left-over books no one wants to buy. Then, I offer, we can snuggle a bit in it, for I am a lonely man. No success, you know.

In case you wonder about the ungodly hour of this post, I was up because of a mouse in my room, for years now I have to live in scruffy places.

No, seriously, guys, it does you good to see the other side. I admit another time I was being a tit, taunting you guys for worshipping and being fans rather than do your own stuff and see, now I admit I am a fan every once in a while and do a bit of worshipping myself and without any harm to me.

Yet, for every succesfull writer you worship there are hundreds cursing the day they started writing. I mean I had other choices and if I could go back 10 years I would have rather finished my med-studies. I´d very likely would have ended up writing still, yet, a medical doctor can sell much better than a cabbie, whatever he writes and he´s backed up.

I´ve finally gotten reviews on fanfiction.net, where I´ve posted my stuff too and I allow myself to quote this one here, maybe it helps to break the spell that has been cast on me obviously, for being the most hated guy on the forum.
Yet I hope the aggrevation about it has calmed down a bit and life sure goes on!

What I especially like about this review is the last sentence, it only confirms where I see myself, although these first six chapters are not the best in my book, they are much better than anything which has been written since volume three, Life, the Universe and Everything. That goes particularly for the official volume six!

RCW007
2011-09-18 . chapter 1
Excellent - cannot wait for the next chapters!
A rejuvenated Slartibartfast is a great idea.
These chapters read better than the last three official books.

Counterquestion: why bother?

I´d rather like to draw, dear DAC-community, your attention to a new award, just freshly given to me by a very fine commitee in honour of my many years of fighting the good fight of a talented but so far un-awarded writer and artist (that´s a good one, an award fo the un-awarded, ey?) and which only by a cosmic coincidence looks like a ladyfinger-dildo but is not, of course - a Janet!

So each year not only an Oscar for the best mainstream-actor but this Janet too is given to a very happy person - and don´t loose hope, it could be you next year!

Jochen Lembke, holding up this year´s Janet!

See, Scratch, that´s the beauty of it! This item is fully functional and could be actually used to please a lady in need to be pleased, yes, by a sheer DA-esk coincidence of cosmic scale -yet! It´s sole purpose is to give merits to a chap (or lady, mind you!) who deserved it, by hard work and sacrifice! Astonishing, but true!!

Wow. You really are the reincarnation of Douglas.

This is just where his work was leading.

Thank you very much, Tony, I know this is not meant entirely as a joke and in a metaphorical sense it is not too far off either, there are too many parallels in our life, which led me to a very similar sense of humor.
Anyway, as a writer I will try to live up to this, hold me to it!

Now it is probably a good time to add something to what I have already said on this matter, after some time has passed and the dust has settled, may I be excused for all unavoidable repeats.

What I really want to say, what is important to me most of all, is, that whatever will happen to this sixth-volume version of mine, about which there has been quite a considerable amount of aggravation yet, whatever will be it´s destiny, will it authorised one far day or will it be forever banned and ignored, I have long come to realise that I will actually always be happy about it, just the way it is.

It will always be something which has enriched my life, to a degree that is outstanding in my life, that I can hardly see in anything else I ever did.

That I could write this book has brought joy to my life, I have said this before, but it cannot hurt to repeat it as many times as it is necessary, I felt (though I very much respect that this would be just the way almost any of you on the forum feel, at least in some moments), a oneness with Douglas, I felt as if we were connected souls, it was almost like a spiritual thing, and certainly it was a creative process as it should be with whoever writes, I was not writing it, it was writing me, I felt as if I were taking dictations from him and let me point it out again, I did not write this book because I wanted to ride piggyback on someone elses success, I wrote this book because I wanted to write it, because I love it, because I wanted to contribute to it, I did not write this book, because an editor or an agent would ask me to do it, I felt that this is the book Douglas wanted to be the sequel and I just believe in it!

No one can ever take this away from me.

Just because I´m a bit of a shit and mindbogglingly stupid sometimes I did not tell you about this sooner, instead of only attacking you.

Now, for we live in the internet age and whoever would have done a sequel would have, just like me, ended up on this forum and since there was no one, I take this for granted now there just is no one actually, (if there is one may he speak now or be silent for ever), moreover, though it is hard to accept, for the book and the hype about it is over it´s peak, it is very unlikely that there will be another one (and if there ever is I am willing to compete against it just the way I am against Colfer`s) and so it is likely my version will stand for all time.

Although I have done many mistakes in my life and ruined things, which I could have instead (and the worst was not the way I alienated everybody on the forum, the worst mistake I ever did was the way I alienated, in the same stupid manner, by the way, the girl I still love and always will) – I have patience (the minute I realise that fury has lead to nothing) and I am ready to make sacrifices for the things I love (the minute I realise I have no other choice) and I sometimes am not so sure about what we can chose for our lives and what is chosen for us.

I have already told James that it is not about the money, I am ready to dispense with all financial benefits from it and he has already very much hinted that it is not down to him whether the book will be authorised and to this I have replied that that man from the Bronx is already 73 and I am only 50, so it pretty much looks I will outlive him (if I not keep on stressing me out and will die exactly one minute after I finally have success).

So I have the sneaky feeling it will be authorised one day, yes, that this has already taken place secretly, although no one is ready to admit it yet!

Still, and this is how I want to end and what I want to emphasise very much, too, I actually don´t want to labeled too much as someone only following in Douglas´ footsteps, because I very much vary in my style, it would narrow me down too much, furthermore, I surely don´t have a patent to write in DA-style, many can do it, I just definitely was the only one in the world to have the guts (or to be enough of a stubborn selfish bastard, depending on the way you look at it) to actually write down a complete version, not only dream about it and do bits and isolated chapters and this definitely, to be annoyingly presumptuous, puts me in the pole position, but it is still an open race, let there be an open competition about the readers favour and let there be many, who can carry the torch of Douglas´ ideas and thoughts!

Edit: Wow, this makes me look almost like a holy man!
Now, for the cynical and frustrated old bastard I truly am behind this humble facade read "why I will insult the English!": http://www.douglasadams.se/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=17229 Why, you.... you ... smug and stuck-up lot, you!

Just want to let you know there´s a new Godfather prequel, written obviously not by Mario Puzo, who died in 1999, but another guy. It is highly recommended for all fans. Needless to say if I would have written it it would be just an other piece of pointless fan-fiction. So, the general rule that turns pointless trash into a valuable and highly appreciated book obviously is a little signature on a sheet of paper, the contract that gives you the rights. Alright, alright, I´ll be quiet about that again. I´ll just go back to my miserable little meaningless shit-life and sulk. Ha! Marvin was right! The clearest thinker I have ever met! Here I am brain size of a planet and they ask me to open that cab-door for them. Life, don´t tell me about life!
