James? I think you hinted in that direction...

MG -- are you coming for it too? We should book together.

I know it's a long way away, but there are tickets and passports and stuff to deal with.

Should we bring a covered dish or something?

*sigh* ... I still don't know yet. I'm really hoping I'll be able to get to London, and possibly even venture out a bit further - but first I need to finish planning our stateside trip to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. This would be soo much easier if the moongod weren't so set against traveling outside the US. We could combine both trips into a single affordable one. I'll let you know when I've got things sorted out better ...

I can't imagine why he wouldn't want to come to London and talk Douglas Adams with us until we are all blue in the face! And take pictures of Naked Barbie in front of the British Museum. And knock a few back with the guys... oh well. It is your 25th... Julian and I had our 25th anniversary dinner in a Kentucky Fried Chicken along the highway... but we WERE on our way to Santa Fe for a week, so it was worth it. I heartily recommend Santa Fe for an anniversary binge.

ZZ9 will probably be doing something, but don't want to clash with anything official so are waiting to see if anything gets announced. It is probable that it will happen on the Saturday 21st (or 28th) rather than the Wednesday 25th.

If you come over I will come into London and we can do an Islington tour. Or you might like to come up to Cambridge.

I highly recommend the Cambridge tour!

Ar$e - I go to Holland that day. But I very much second the Cambridge tour, well worth it (and it's a nice city, especially for those needing to buy new shirts...)

Only if you should happen to spill British Rail (or modern day equivalent) coffee over yourself:)

I sense a story here. You'll have to tell me one day.

One time I was about to give a thank you speech to hundreds of Boulder rich worthies thanking them for a donation to the carousel, when Scott (the carousel carver) and I stopped for coffee. I took a drink from my medium mocha latte only to find the lid was loose and completely drenched my white shirt. I ran back into the bathroom and rinsed the shirt repeatedly (we only had 15 minutes) and then dried it as best I could under the hand dryer. I still worry that they were able to discern details my anatomy I would prefer not to share through the damp shirt....

I am looking at fares, and they aren't that bad. I think I'm ready to commit to being there for Towel Day. Anybody else?????

OK, so I am posting here as well as on The Facebook... I am getting into Heathrow on May 20 and leaving May 28. Staying at Gloucester Place. Dave has been updating me on events on Facebook, but if anyone's not on there and sees this who knows of events that week, please let me know! Thanks!

I know we all feel a bit numb because of Fennie's tragic loss but anyway...

Happy Towel Day, everybody!
