Mac version or PC? Or the bizarre German one?
Theyare becoming very hard to find now.
To think, I saw a guy selling remaindered stock at £4.99 about 5 years ago and didn't buy the lot.

Ho Hum...

It's the Windows PC version by The Voyager Company, New York. The eBay seller was a private person in the US, not a shop. I searched eBay for about a year and luckily secured the first auction I discovered for about 27 USD. Mac versions seemed to be more available, but last time I checked there was no auction running. But it's sure worth the effort 8)

Just finished Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.

Right now I'm reading: An Echo in the Darkness by Francine Rivers.
The Dead Zone by Stephen King.
Fluke Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings by Christopher Moore.
The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice.
Life, The Universe, and Everything by uhm.... oh.... what was his name again? Dan or Dave.... It began with a D, I know that.... Oh, yeah! Douglas Avery. No, wait... That's not right. Do any of you guys know?
:?

the first part is pretty blah, but considering it is the first book of Dan Brown, i think he was playing with it a little bit, the book is like the foundation, the base, working it's way up on the masterpiece we call "The Da Vinci Code"...

the last part is good though, thrillingly good, there's a mystery, and the answer is a number...

unfortunately, it's not 42...

What's good enough for Neil Peart is good enough for anyone:
Quote:
Know your place in life is where you want to be,
Don't let them tell you that you owe it all to me.
Keep on looking forward; no use in looking 'round;
Hold your head above the ground and they won't bring you down.

Anthem of the heart and anthem of the mind
A funeral dirge for eyes gone blind
We marvel after those who sought
The wonders of the world, wonders of the world,
Wonders of the world they wrought.

Live for yourself -- there's no one else
More worth living for
Begging hands and bleeding hearts will only cry out for more

Well, I know they've always told you
Selfishness was wrong
Yet it was for me, not you, I came to write this song

Thanks.

And how come the Illuminati's sacred number is 503? What kind of stupid number is that? 42, that's a great number...!

(I've already finished A&D, therefore I know why 503 is significant!)

503 is a wonderful number to fool around with!

1. you take 1 out 5 leaving you with a gorgeous 4 and the leftover 03

2. you take the poor 03 from above and cut all leading zeros (which is always a good thing in any kind of business), getting a useful 3 by this process

3. you take the lonely 1 from the first step (you know, the one that's still sad about departing the original 5) and subtract that from the handy 3 that you've managed to create in the second step, giving you a nice 2

4. with the previous ingenious mathematical beauties we were able to produce a gorgeous 4 and a nice 2, so now we ... oh come on

The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett. Then I'll be moving on to Equal Rites by Pratchett. I'm re-reading my entire series of novels by him again. It's been a long time. But, somewhere in there, I'll slip in Arthur C. Clarke's Rendevous with Rama which I got recently from the Sci-Fi Book Club.
