I went to my local used record/CD shop and kinda went overboard. But I think I got some good stuff, no?

Is it really that good? I've thought about getting it, as I've heard their Pink Floyd album is supposed to be quite enjoyable.

Just bought this:

Sounds good so far, if a little overproduced. I do miss the one little punky song that her two previous albums had.

I've just started getting excited about Regina Spektor thanks to the Weeds music site. I think I should pick up something from her. Where should I start? That is, using Ghost of the Corporate Future as a guide of what I have heard and enjoyed.

It's a fabulous album. Not a duff track in sight. A great mix of radio-friendly melodic pop and introverted soul-searching, a real spine-tingler. One that was on repeat play in my car cd player for about a month...music to make you smile on the inside.

Caught her set at Glastonbury on tv yesterday. Just superb.

I'd been lookking for this Raymond Scott album for ages and happened on it by accident (as so often happens) at a used record store. If you've never heard of him before, allow me to help you out. His music became accidently famous through its use in now-classic Warner Bros. cartoons. Definately ahead of his time.

Hmm.. I listened to something else by her on Tony's recommendation a while back and was unmoved (I usually like most things Tony like but there have been some notable exceptions). Will have to give it another try.

I wore the vinyl albums out in the seventies so it's nice to hear them again after such a long time.

Surprisingly, yes...I haven't been too keen on her last three outings, but this has some knockout stuff on it. There a nice Plant and Page-ish arabic tinge to a few tracks, and the first five tracks are all belters. My attention drifted through the rest of the cd, but that was not entirely the fault of the music. I'm only on my second play through, but the album feels like it will be a real grower.

Thrith, Rusby has the most amazing voice, I've always meant to invest in her work. Where should I start?

Bought this today in sunny, if windy, Portsmouth:

I would start with her newer stuff. Awkward Annie or The Girl that couldn't fly, are both very good. She's playing at O2 indigo in December, I am seriously tempted to come up for this one! Tickets are 20 - 25 quid.

...and a fascinating mix of rarities, including a really bizarre piece for theremin that had me in stitches...

I'll proudly admit that I watch Glee each week. It's a damn funny show, and I'm very happy the evil wife was found out. I'm getting annoyed with all the mash-ups and their overuse of Auto-Tune (if you don't know what I'm talking about, then watch the video)

I just bought P!nk's "Funhouse".

I'ts a great album. "So What" is a GREAT song. The rest of the album is good if quite sad; rather a break-up album, but musically great.

I absolutely couldn't believe it when I saw this at Half-Price Books. I'm now a very camper. Too bad its PAL, which means it won't work on PS2. But, it should still work on my laptop, right? I wonder if there's any way to hook-up my laptop to my surround sound receiver-thingy that I use with my PS2? I imagine there must be some way. Just have to figure out how.
