Mark (Zaphod) Wing-Davey has had reasons to be pleased for friends and relations lately...

A few short weeks ago, his life partner, actress Anita Carey, was honoured at the 2009 British Soap Awards with the award for Best Dramatic Performance. She played the receptionist Vivien March in a harrowing rape storyline in the BBC daytime soap, "Doctors".

Now Mark's mother, actress Anna Wing (aged 96), famed for her role as Lou Beale in the early days of BBC soap "Eastenders", has just been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

Also, a good pal of Mark's, the actor Jonathan (Zarniwoop) Pryce, has gained a CBE. Perhaps Zaphod will bring him pizza to celebrate?

So why wasn't he given an award for his role in Final Fantasy XII? There is no justice in the world.
I guess that was a couple of years ago, but still...

I feel bad that Mark is awardless. Perhaps we could cock up a statuette or certificate and give it to him?
