Well, not me so much as the moongod, but after several failed attempts by both of us in the past few years, he has finally managed to replicate one of my sisters' tacky, yet festive items of holiday decor.

Behold:

It is a very complex, hi-tech process involving plastic cups, a hot glue gun, and a string of flashing Christmas lights wadded up into a ball ...

Last time I saw her she was on that very table giving head to Esther - literally!

There are so many times I'm proud of my son.

This is not one of those times.

We need to talk, because that was just the beginning.

Before it was all over, he did things that would make even Larry Flynt go, "Ewwwww."

P.S. Nothing like some lighted balls on Christmas. Makes the high notes in Deck The Halls
reach all new heights.

Honestly, I've done things that would make Larry Flynt go, "Ewwwww." I got a rejection slip for some toons I did 20 years ago with a hand written note that said,"These are definitely not for us!"

So, yeah, I offended Hustler. So what, does that make me a bad person?
I guess the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree...

By the way, by today's standards, those toons would be tame.

I just linked through to this thread because it was listed as the referral for recent views of an old pic in my Flickr account ... can you imagine the poor soul who landed here after Googling "Plastic Cup Christmas Light Ball' only to get hit with Joe's pic of Barbie and Esther?

Still less tacky than my ex-wife's red and green tampon ornaments. We always meant to put maxi-pads on the top of the tree (the kind with wings), but never got around to it.

Sadly, no. Last Christmas, my wife said the following, which will probably become a quote for years to come: "I am not putting your ex-wife's tampon on our tree!"

The strings are very helpful for attaching them to the tree.

Edit: Apparently we weren't the only ones who thought to do something like this.

I think the toupee is my favorite (not sure that's quite the right word for it though ...) from that site.

The weirdest my family has done is tie Marvin the Martian to the top of our tree instead of an angel/star.
