The season finales were a major disappointment for me.
SPOILERS
Great big frozen wheel in a Narnia-looking set transporting the Island in time and space? A transportable Island - at least we can't say that the idea for that hasn't been around for centuries, that's what Swift wrote about in Gulliver!
Jeremy Bentham is John Locke? That let me down with a thud, not a twist worth waiting a season for.
And now everybody will be travelling around the real world, murdering Widmore minions, assassin-style?
Could this have been the last we saw of Desmond?!
But - but - but... It had everything!
Sayid vs. Keemey - Never liked Sayid. Never liked Keamey either. It was difficult to decide for whom I cared less.
The Orchid time machine - Time machine! I was kinda hoping that was never going to happen to this show - only maybe The Constant-style, which was a good idea, but not this.
Return of the Others - Yeah, I liked that too.
Reveal of Locke being dead - What a let-down! I was hoping for a bit of a bigger twist.
The shiver-inducing reunion of Penny and Des - That was good indeed.
Hugo playing chess with Eko - Time machine and Hugo seeing dead people - like a new M. Night Shymalan movie, of the worse kind.
Walt making an appearance - That was unexpected, I'll give them that.
All kinds of movie-worthy action - Yes, the effects and the quality were great, that's for sure. I mean, the Island disappearing looked great, but the fact that it was the Island
disappearing in time and space that looked great makes it a lot less entertaining. Lost has now been reduced to a simple sci-fi show with mystery elements.
Ben going psycho killer - Now that's the only really positive thing! Way to go, Ben!
By G.O.B., it was intense and beautiful!
