Was your brother playing Super Mario Brothers all morning long by any chance?

Nope, I wish the explanation was that simple. I'm at a loss as to why it's stuck in here.

I've found myself sitting here whistling/humming the Doctor Who theme song for the past 20 minutes. I'm not complaining though.

What's up Gusty, have to start over again frequently? We should play on line, I'll have to pratice a bit first.

Nah, just have to save and reload later when wife and kids complain after I've spent 18 hours solid playing it.
Really is incredibly addictive. When it first came out I though "Yep, Civ2 with a pretty face" but it goes way beyond that.

I think I'll need a bit more practice too...

Hey Jude - since I saw the chipmunk version of it, as performed by Hugh Laurie.

John Coltrane - Giant steps - This is jazz sax at its best. I just can't shake it. To have those scales so well incorporated into your mind, to just switch over at the change of a chord, and follow a line from the bass, and to even make it sound natural and easy flowing like an act of love, or like walking, talking, or even sleeping...
That's the magic of a real master to mee.
Mmmm.

A tune by a very good jazz guitarist residing in Hawaii, Lee Muller.
He frequently visits the jazzguitar forum, and gave a link to his tunes at garageband.com.

Go there and listen to a very nice and extremely good player - who incidentally also (like me, no similarities as regards guitarplaying though, he's really good) makes his background music in 'band in a box'.
he can be heard at http://www.garageband.com/song?%7Cpe1%7CS8LTM0LdsaSjZFm0YG4

my favorite track is 'Just lovin' life', a highpaced celebration of life it seems.
Well worth listening to...
Peace
&
Biab for all.

Was that real? Or was it a dream? I can't decide.

That's right. Come on.

Have you checked out any of their other stuff? Some of it's rather hit or miss, but I'm enjoying most of it.

Bebop, the tune & the style.
Practicing the solo every day after work is, by all means, a contributing factor. Still, damn good tune. Really the epitome of bebop.
Bird & Diz.
Terminated or coffee.
