I love the epic way this song ends.

Always thought it sounded like an appopriate swan song for The Skids.

Fire & Water. Paul Rodgers has to be one of the best British vocalists ever. This also features a favourite guitarist of mine, Geoff Whitehorn (who should really reconsider the stretch jeans!). This is from one of Germany's best ever TV programmes "Ohne Filter". I never missed it when I lived in Holland.

I'd have to agree with that!

So are you saying you don't agree with my comment about the stretch jeans?

Yep. One of the best, British or otherwise. He sings that soulful pentatonic to perfection.

Never been a big fan, but this looks like it was a hell of a show.

Buddy Guy covering Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

I just saw him play tonight and it was amazing. Not only is he a great player, but a heck of a showman as well. For example, he played Voodoo Child and when he held that note, he got a roadie to bring him a glass of water, which he drank, all while holding the note. During an Albert King cover, he got down off the stage and wandered through the crowd, wailing the entire time. I stood right next to the man. I could've touched his guitar.

Heck of a show.

I remember seeing this on OGWT many years ago and think what incredible fingers this man had to be able to play a bass as if is was a regular guitar

Then I found him playing an upright in an even wilder way

Yay!
John Otway.
I saw him (and Wild Willy Barrett) at the town hall in Kirbymoorside, Yorkshire a few years back and he did that.

It was a truly bizarre experience

More famous for this way back in 1977

This might be stretching the definition of 'classic'... I think it might even be stretching the definition of 'song'.

I think you might be right there Queezer!

Here's something a little more in the 'classic' catagory!

Cover versions:
Many are poor
A few are pretty good
Sometimes there is one that gives the song a whole new meaning

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o22eIJDtKho

Then sometimes they make you wonder how you could think the X-Factor couldn't possibly get worse.
I'm not going to link it but I'm sure you know what I mean
