I wouldn't want to annoy "the family" by not registering my support and best wishes for the boys in blue.

Horses heads stain so badly.

The Godfather is happy, 2:0 for the Azurri ...

because those African teams like Ivory Coast (against Argentina) and now Ghana just don't know how to get the egg into the nest! Brilliant technique but frustratingly awful at scoring. Great games to watch 'though!

The goalie did seem to freeze on that second goal, didn't he?

He was probably still shocked by the way his fellow defense player handed the ball over to the opponent ...

Et un, et deux, et trois.....zero, are they playing "I will Survive" all the time on the radio, or is it Zizou va marquer this time?

But I don't think the French will lose 3-0, maybe 2-0.

Dude, you're talking about Zizou. The man is in contact with the spirits, he hears voices in the night.

Plus a goalie with the best haircut since Yul Brenner. How the hell can they lose?

Well the goalie is the problem. Barthez can make the strangest decisions, and he likes to punch the ball instead of catching it, and Zizou if he plays well, yeah he can definitely make the dfference, but he has to play well, although he has plenty of motivation to make his last ever professional game a sorcher.

Actually the only reason I would like France to win is for Thierry Henry, he is such a good player and just can't win the big stuff, but always comes so close.

It'll be enjoyable to watch. At the end of the day, it's about the players not the country.

What a showdown, will there be a blue moon over Berlin tonight as there was in Paris a few years ago? hope so, it's good for business.

Well given that both Italy and France's normal colours are blue, that is a guarantee.

same here. i´m really shocked. one move, he has spoiled his farewell, the victory and the nearly spotless harmony of this world cup.

One would really imagine what they could've said to each other to turn Zidane like that. I mean, they were talking, it's not like he shoved him or something.

Congratulations, Italy! The best team won. Maybe the second best team, but we had to play yesterday.

I'm happy, Tony, that this Sunday had it all in for you!

...a moment from earlier this evening, around the in-laws....

About half way thru the first half, the BBC commentator was heard to remark "there's Toni, looking for Totti...", to which I replied without thinking "...not for the first time...."

Oops!
