Since you asked so nicely (and I hear that I get presents) allow me to introduce myself. I read more fantasy than hard sf (not that hgttg qualifies as hard sf) (won't Jordan ever finish that damn series!?!?). Listen to folk/singer-songwriter type music. Married, two more or less grown kids, sing at church and in a community chorus, programmer (when I can get the work), former comic collector (what am I going to do with 11,000 comics now that I've sold the ones that were worth anything), damn yankee living in Atlanta for 40+ years now, hmmm.... I guess that's enough.

(p.s. am I expected to send thank you notes?)

(p.p.s. don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen)

I gave up on Jordan somewhere around the sixth book. Martin, Erikson and Bujold have proven
more reliable reading for me.
