yeah, quite a lot of people are going to see the potty potter do his magic. as well as the narnia film next month. A new cinema opens here in Crewe in a couple of days or so, maybe they'll have Doom and Serenity. Because the other cinema certainly don't get any of that stuff

and i know how it´s pronounced. but how do you want me to tell you? i´d be hard-pressed to translate russian sounds to english "words"...i´ll try anyway:
it´s something like "notchnoi dozor", only the "z" is some sort of "hummed" sound, not quite like the english "th"... if you get my drift...? and the last "r" is rolled.

As being a hungarian guy, i knew all of that except for 'ch' in Nochnoy. I didn't know if it is a 'ch' as in german or a '(t)ch' as in english. Thank you

It's a simple 'tch' sound, as in the word, say, 'match'. I've just asked my father (well, back in those times, Russian language was a compulsory subject* in school, so he could tell me what's the proper pronounciation is in no time).

EDITO: Plus he omitted the second 'o' (pronounced it something like 'notchi') but I don't think that's correct.

*= Dashed odd**, if You ask me.

**= Well, not that dashed odd if You take into account the history of our country.

Polar Express.
Kids were watching it just now and I was suprised how good it was. Very twee and a bit of an ego trip for Hanks but a good family movie.

Drop Dead Gorgeous and Incident at Loch Ness. They're both pretty good.

I watched part of Saving Private Ryan last night, while waiting for the Daily Show to come on. I forgot how much I dislike that movie. It was always trumpeted as portraying the grim reality of war, which I guess it did (at least, in the first battle scene), but it still was essentially a pro-war movie. It still fell into the exact same traps of focusing on the honor and the glory and the camaraderie of going out to fight for what is right with other good american boys.

Don't waste your money. It has been thoroughly raked over the hot coals by many reviewers. Consensus: It's like the game hasn't been finished and was rushed to the shelves. The latest PSM magazine said, "Unfortunately, the final version is a pretty harsh reality check. This game is clearly rough around the edges and relies heavily on its license as a crutch. The barely-good-enough controls and inconsistent production values - which make us wonder if, like "Enter The Matrix" before it, PoN isn't really finished yet - make the action more watchable than playable, and best left to Matrix die-hards. A larger portion of the game is spent drudging through new acts that, although penned by The Wachowski Brothers, are mostly tired, hokey, or both. Neo-punks and giant ant-men?" Like you Franz, I had high hopes for the game. But after reading many negative reviews, and I trust PSM (they haven't steered me to a crappy game yet), I'll go get "Resident Evil 4" instead.

As for the most recent movie I've seen, that would be Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" on DVD. Before that, "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory", which was most excellent.

Screw You, Tom Hanks!

Not really. But I did hate Forest Gump.

Last movie I watched was Beavis and Butthead Do America on tv earlier tonight.

Wow, it's been like a week but now that I think about it but the last time I sat down fo a full movie
was Shark Boy and Lava Girl, oddly enough. It was Pizza-and-a-Movie night with my sister's
kids and it was amazing how many laughs (intended and otherwise) both the kids and adults
got out of it. Shark Boy alone would have made the MST3K people drool uncontrollably.

well, maybe i should agree with you, because i have been hung up on video games by many times (Harry Potter 4 for example), but i can't help my obstinacy:) so i'm definitely gonna buy PoN, and then tell you if it was worth buying it or not (in my opinion)

I've watched Beowolf and Alien recently. Both funny films. Beowolf is sort of a medieval version of Blade and Alien is just silly. I love the bit where the alien, after popping out of that guy's chest, sprints out of the screen in a straight line. Like he's been pulled by a string or something.
