I was wondering if someone would ever start a thread like this. I thought about doing it a few times, then decided against it.

(As far as I know, there had been no similar threads.)

I had lot of avatars. Just to name a few (I don't have the patience to host them all and post the piccies here):
Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett)
Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp)
Sir Humphrey Appleby (cartoon)
Silas (Paul Bettany)
Mad-Eye Moody (Brendan Gleeson)
Marvin (voiced by Alan Rickman)

there was the "old siggie" thread, but I can't seem to find it (which annoys me a bit, as I wanted to post my previous one [PEBKAC killed my inner child])

Absolutely not, Difool. He's Belgian.
The immortal detective of Agatha Christie, has been portrayed by great blighters such as Sir Peter Ustinov, Albert Finney and of course, David Suchet.

All geat actors though I don't think I've seen Albert Finney's Poirot, but i like the new production.

I was considering an ava of Ustinov's Poirot, but then I decided on Sam Spade.

He was Poirot in the Sean Connery, Michael York, Vanessa Redgrave etc. version of Murder on the Orient Express.

A sidenote: I hated Ustinov's Poirot, so I think You made quite a good of a decision when You stuck to Sam Spade.
