So, um, hello, I guess? I’m not very good at introductions. So anyway, I first read Hitchhiker’s Guide in Sixth Grade and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I’m also a big Stephen King fan (as you can see from my user name) and post in thedarktower.net forums as Gag Halfrunt.
So Hi.

PS
I hope my Avatar isn’t too big.

To split hairs, it's a lieutenant colonel. Not that it's a big deal or anything ... I'm just anal retentive when it comes to Army stuff.

Stephen King reference. In "The Dark Tower" series Randall Flagg turns up and uses the name Walter. There's more but that's all I can remember for now.

Ah, thank you.
No wonder I didn't get it - Stephen King's too creepy for me.

In general King is too creepy and gory for me too, but years ago, when the first Dark Tower book came out my then-boyfriend said I would like it and it wasn't a horror story. I read it and loved it and have faithfully read them all. King took a VERY long break from writing the books and for a long time I feared he would never finish them, but apparently when he got run over he decided to do it, and so he did.

I read "The Stand" in high school and still think it is one of the best stories I have ever read. I even got the extended version when it came out. Again, it's not a bloody horror story.

If someone could downsize that pic for me, I would very much like to us it as my avatar. Oh, and yes The Stand is a great book.

Thanks, and Also Know as Walter O'Dim/The Man in Black, Maerlyn/The Ageless Stranger, and other names as a title would do nicely.

One of my fav Stephen King quotes:

People think that I must be a very strange person. This is not correct. I have the heart of a small boy. It is in a glass jar on my desk.

That and, "M-O-O-N, that spells (insert anything)."
