I have been looking at this site and there's one thing that bothers be just a bit!

This "H.H." character.

I happen to be from the same country, Finland, and what bothers me just a bit is that you guys seem to be giving him a very hard time for some reason.
I have read some of his posts and he doesn't seem to be such a bad guy.
So why all the hostility?
Well, like I said I'm new here so I have to take a good look around to find out what's going on on the site. That should be interesting.

Peace!

asikainen: have you read all his posts?

methinks that maybe, just maybe (i´m guessing here) this new member that so timely comes to the defense of h.h. (and is from finnland, too! talk about a coincidence!) might be ... say, a personal friend of h.h. or a close relative. who knows. stranger things have happened.

if not (which is always a possibility): hi there! wanna introduce yourself properly and tell us a bit about you and why you like DNA/H2G2?

Before he edited it, he wrote it something like this.

"I am NEW here. I HAPPEN to BE from the same COUNTRY," and so on. Either it is an old finnish tradition, or this is H.H.'s best friend.

'Tis a shame. I love Finland, its scenery, its language, its culture, its music.

This guy has NO idea how to relate to people. I wonder if he still lives with his mom?

We've seen all this before exactly the same, it is actually quite astounding how the two characters in question have used exactly the same modus operandi.

Never mind he will get bored of it all eventually.

always.
i made a little serious list as to h.h.´s eternal question why we didn´t like him.
no-one here has issues with someone bringing up original, non-dna related stuff. some might have issues with a new member who seems mainly interested in posting tons of stories (because that´s just not the point of this forum).
but everybody has issues with a new guy who can´t follow netiquette.

We're living in Bush's America.

So even if we wanted to, no.

Wow, you think America's going to invade Finland over this?

Well, maybe...I mean, all those lakes could be useful for re-housing the boat people of Louisiana.

That's RIGHT, make CHEAP little jokes about someone's FAMILY why don't you?

I bet that makes you FEEL LIKE a real MAN, or should I say SHEEP! LOL!

Don't come to FINLAND T-T-TONY, everyone here is DUMB and a TOTAL GENIUS like you would not FIT IN.

That's what YOU THINK, I'm sure.

part of being part of this forum is taking snide remarks like the one Tony made with a smile, a shrug, and a witty comeback.

you seem to take it with a frown, an enraged shudder, and a hostile, offensive remark, badly typed, even for l337sp3ak s0 th3r3!

(To the forum at large, I wanna apologise for my slip to the lower forms of communication)

I miss him. It's so nice to have someone to beat on.

I like that avvy. The expression on the sheep is that of a wry smile of someone who has just delivered an excellent sarcastic remark.
