Good point. Maybe all the budget was redirected to this bold and

I'd only pop in here from time to time, but I was under the impression the production was on hiatus until September.

Yep, hiatus... Not sure when it's supposed to end though, but September does sound right.

September the 1st, 8:00 am.

No, wait, that's the end of a different hiatus.

:D Anybody else want posting access to the blog on the web site? It'll make things a lot easier on me, I wouldn't have to post progress updates then.

Remember when I promised I would finish drafts for at least three episodes during the summer? Well, that did not happen. I'm half way through epIII, but I'm done with a quite boring draft for epII which I'm going to send to dirk_gently_radio@yahoo.com in like five minutes.

Oh, You're right. But I have already sent the epII draft, so it's not that important. I'm nearly done with with epIII, but there's a worrying thing: Gordon talks a lot. There will be a lot of stuff that is either unnecessary or... unimportant...?
Anyway, Gordon's lawyer is called John and he has an old journalits enemy called Leland Hyman.

Just do what you can, and don't drive yourself crazy over it. :D Are the other folks around? Editors, producers, actors, hello? Even if we decide to further extend the hiatus, it'd be nice if we could all touch base with each other or something. Role call?

I'm trying not to go stark raving nutty over it. I'm about to finish it. I'll try to send it later this afternoon.

I am still around. We should at some point gather what we have done as far as episode 1 is concerned, what still needs to be done etc. As far as I remember it should be mostly done and just needs tidying up and putting together. Perhaps its best if we poll everything we have on the first episode so far and put it together to create a first draft. I personally declare I am still here, and have roughly mixed the dinner scene. If memory serves correctly, we have the narrations, the monk scene, some strange version of the initial scene (did we get a proper one?) and I think I am in a position to get the Susan scene to the same level as the other scenes in a reasonably short amount of time. Once we've got an initial first version we could consider how much we are going to be able to improve it etc. Thoughts?

Okay, I sent a pretty rushed draft to our account. There's obviously too much Gordon, too much narration and on the whole, it needs a good, healthy grammatical screening.
What the announcer says sucks as well, so - naturally - I'm completely open for suggestions.

Ok, so I suggest you and I and anybody else put together the said pieces into an initial version, just so we have something to show from this whole project so far and to go on the website. As far as I gather the pieces are:

Theme music* and announcing - did we decide on a final theme music written by Fleppo ("Little Diddy"?) or am I imagining things? The announcer should be easy to do after we have everything else.

Narration - which I believe we have

Dinner scene - pretty much done*

Monk scenes - done, as far as I gather*

Susan scene - can be done*

Initial scene (pre-credit, with Dirk in it) - not sure

Once we have all of these elements, it should be reasonable to combine them together into a first episode.

I suggest we email all of those components to the yahoo account (an actual email, not just a sendit.com thing so it permanently stays there) and then somebody can just put them together. Of the above things that has already been done for the narration, I have all those starred above on my hard drive so can email them to the account asap, just leaving the initial scene.

Things that I primarily need to do : mixdown and email in dinner and susan scenes.

To whomever is editing the dinner scene, I've finally uploaded Watkin's lines. They're all on the Yahoo account.

Right then.

I have now completed an initial mixdown of the dinner scenes and the Susan scene.

I shall send these as an attachment to the yahoo account.

I shall then create a first episode from everything I've got (Everything minus Dirk scene and announcer) just to see what it sounds like send it on yousendit.com and link it here.

Here we go...
