Mike's OS disk, not a clue. But you could try that box of stuff under the stairs

I do have a couple of Mikes. One is a silver thing with Sony on the side and the other is a friend who inhabits my sofa at regular intervals (but who is in Basingstoke at the moment)

Talking of tigers:

'Sno great upgrade from Leopard.

Nevertheless, I will buy it - rumour is only $29 which will probably be £29 here. If I buy the new Book in Aug as intended I believe I will get a free one for that so will only need 2.
The white iMac was a Tiger but is now a Leopard
The Silver iMac has always been a Leopard
The mini was a Tiger but is now a mangy bastard moggie called Windows XP for various complicated reasons

If Snow Leopard delivers what it promises with native MS exchange compatibility then my life will be a whole lot easier.

My good Macman,
I have this strange and a bit sad thing going on, and wonder if you have any tips on what may be causing it. I installed Safari 4, and after a while the 'top sites' thing turned up, completely working with cover flow and all, ok, I don't NEED it as such, but the look was fine. Then it just disappeared. Over night. Odd. It says you have to have a graphics card capable of 'quarts extreme', which I obviously don't have, it says so in the about this mac menu. And yet it was there, fully operational for half a day. My screen is a 'LG Studioworks 900B', the driver some intel thing, called 'Intel GMA 950'. Why did it work for half a day, then disappear? I think I did some security update around the time it disappeared too.
The same with my Imac G4, when I installed Safari 4 'top sites' was ok, even though the led screen is supposed not to support quarts extreme or core image. Then I did an update, and it disappeared. Is this some apple thing to tempt people to buy new macs, like 'ok, this is how nice it would be if your old mac was able to display it, but it really can't, we just show you this to let you know what you cannot see...', or?

If it works it works, so why not letting people have it?

Just wondering.
Peace
Skei (the starting to doubt the seriousness of apple one)
