Years ago on this forum I mentioned that Zaphod Beeblebrox had appeared in "Only Fools & Horses", but I was never able to follow up the post as I accidentally deleted the screencaps I'd made with a trial version of Hypersnap.

Finally getting my act together again I have made new caps using a different program. So, without further ado here is Zaphod Beeblebrox in the role he took after "No Sex Please We're Amoeboid Zingat-Ularian" at the Brantisvogon Playhouse. Unfortunately the reviews weren't flattering, stating he was 'flat' and 'looked drawn'.

(I should of course say these are (c) BBC)

Great detective work, Bodie!

Cheers, froods!

It wasn't a difficult spot, it stood out a mile on my HHG radar at the time of initial broadcast, and so was actually one of the first DVDs I ever bought. I did have to take a punt as all I remembered was that one scene took place in a newsagent. Fortunately I was successful as this is in the first few minutes of the first episode of series 4, and the episode is called "Happy Returns".

The Personal Computer mag is the January 1985 issue which you probably all know contains an enjoyable four page(ish) review of the Infocom HHG game. Wikipedia says the OFAH episode was broadcast in February.

Being a Commodore 64 owner & fanatic I was pleased that Zaphod seemed to be using a C64.

I can't recall if the info ended up in Playbeing, I sent alot of bits and pieces to Jocko that didn't make the cut. I couldn't afford to be a member of ZZ9 way back then so I just assumed it was because I was telling him things everyone already knew.
