There was an article in the "Spiegel", in German. Here´s a quote.
Translated it says:

Colfer had to fuss around with an extra tough kind of species on this planet - the hard-core sci-fi-fan. Passionate, edgy, mostly male, often smart-alecky, stern and both merciless in judgement as in prejudice.

No further comment.

It's a fair cop. The lesson to be learned, however?

Don't fuss with us.

Unless you want to get fussed up, that is.

Easy answer first: no! (Thats about your signature, I did, indeed, not hear you fall in the forest, maybe the sound of you falling was muffled by moss. Or, the mere distance between (heck I don´t even know where you are) and Switzerland, the place I am currently at, is simply to far for such a perception)

Then... well, yeah, let´s put it that way, you know, I stormed like a raging bull into this place here, shouting, you bunch of turbanless sci-fi-Talibans... and, yet, still I have found my place here. It´s not too cosy a place, sure, still more a thorn-in-the-flesh-quality, yet, the DAC is, as far as I have bothered to check, the biggest independent DA-fan-forum in the net and my posts here are being read and I surely bring the DAC more interest than I scare off and there we are, a mutual benefit relationship (now where are my boni, forcryingoutloud) for both of us. And, after all, I am still not a fan, but quite a DA-activist, in a sense..
So, I´make myself comfy here, I´d say.

Jochen, ask MG to show you her collection of moss photographs sometime.

Kate Moss.
Mos(s) Def. (Oh, that means, moss makes you deaf, so that´s why!)

Yeah, right, America it was...
Yet, as we all know in our globalised world nothing is too far apart from anything, so, the transocean folks got their head-office in Zug, Switzerland, for tax-reasons, obviously. Tar and feather them, I´d say! (The easiest and both macabrest way of doing both would be just to drop the pile of dead oily sea-birds on ´em, right?)

But that's what we do here. Off-topic is our middle name!

Yeah, but I´ve got the creepy feeling you´ve got a tendency to use that middle name on my posts more than on others, first, and second, I wouldn´t mind you going back on-topic just every once in a while. In that case namely I wouldn´t have said anything in the first place.

Sigh. I am from Germany, live in Switzerland, just got of the phone making important inqiries in French and am now doing a little post in English.
Maybe I should have just kept my wug...

Maybe you have too many irons in the fire, then. Or too much iron in your blood. Or not enough.
You have to steel yourself in a situation like this. Prove your metal. Keep your temper. You may find
that you have more alloys here than you think.

Thanks, mate. I, mean, dude, you being Amercan and all. Anyway how could I forget, you showed me the famous macarons back then... True, I´m doing too much at the moment, too much quantity and should focus more on quality, so like I said, I should better have kept my wug shut.

Anyway, being in Switzerland I somehow get a sense of the American-British relationship, for the German/Swiss one is fairly comparatable.

Anyway, too, I can now proudly anounce I will move to the French part of Switzerland now - in only two weeks! Incroyable, n´est-ce-pas, but true!
