Minor car accident with a biker, thank Bob nothing serious. Biker has a slightly bruised knee and needs to replace the front wheel on his bike. My car needs some minor repair work on the front right.

My fault, so I can only blame Eric.

Lucky it wasn't too bad. 'Think Bike' everyone.

My external hard drive fell off the shelf and doesn't work anymore. I've taken it to two different computer places. One said they couldn't fix it. The other said they could possibly fix it, but it would cost anywhere from $500 to $1000. Which I don't have. *sigh* I'm not even sure what all was on it. I know there was tons of footage. All of the Projectionist Project stuff. Footage that I had just recently shot for my friend's music video.

No, because I am an idiot. I would kind of just stuff everything on there because there was tons of room on it and video eats up space.

Can you block her? I am stupefied that people can be so cruel. What purpose does it serve? Hugs to you two, from vagamom.

From vagahubby's experience: the reason it is so expensive is that the drive needs to opened in a clean room. It will probably be worth, so save your pennies. Love from vagamom.

2 days without my phone...going into withdrawal symptoms...*twitch, twitch*

The problem is that the mini-usb input socket has broken, so not only can I not download or upload stuff but I can't charge the battery! I am currently using...*gulp*...one of these:

Thankfully, I have removeable batteries so I've ordered a stand-alone charger for them. It will be a bit of an inconvenience having to switch over the battery every day, but worth it to see out the remaining few months of my contract.

This is your HTC Desire, Tony?
It is a known problem with these (and the US Evo, the Desire HD and most of the other ones sold in 2010). The connector isn't soldered into the board properly. I would take it back to the store you bought it from and play the old "fitness for purpose" card. Even though the warranty is nominally one year, there have been several test cases under the Sale Of Goods act that phones sold on a two year contract should be expected to work for at least two years to be fit for purpose. I have a friend who had exactly the same problem and got his replaced after 15 months.
The other option they may offer you is allowing an early upgrade

Yes, same phone Gusty. I did ask about an early upgrade or just renewal, but they weren't in a very generous festive spirit.

I will consider taking it further, even though the stand-alone charger is only £5, because I had trouble with the original charger supplied with the phone. That had a dodgy connection, and I had to apply a fair amount of pressure on it to make the contact, which undoubtedly weakened the phone's charging input. In fact, the first charger virtually disintegrated after about 4 months, but of course they replaced that without a squeak.

Cheers

We tried, we put forth a good effort, but, in the end, Alayne and I just couldn't make it work. Tonight, we decided that it'd be best if we call the marriage over.

So sorry for the both of you, Gonz. Hopefully you'll find your happiness somewhere along that winding road of life.

I think I will. This time, there's none of the acrimony that came about from earlier. For the last month or so, I've been pondering whether I wanted to stay in this marriage because I truly loved her and want to be with her or if I'm just settling for what's comfortable and requires little effort. As time went on, I realized that it was the latter. Change is a scary option but if I want to truly be myself and be happy, there's some comfort zone that needs to be expanded.

Well, Gonz, if you don´t mind me sticking my nose in here, just from my personal point of view as one who has just spent five years of experiencing THE true love and going through the hell that it was unfortunately single-sided - I can only say that being just comfortable with someone even without being it true love is not that bad, I was in the same situation once and decided to call it and then it brought me right into "you might find yourself in the clutches of some WILD love" (Zappa).
Dude, all the best, anyway! (We´re friends, now, remember?)

And, oh, and this is the book I have written about us.

Zicking means bitching, so this is probably I want to bitch about, about my little bitch.
I´ve just sent this book the other day to the basically only star-lawyer there is in Germany, for his latest client, a guy who was all over the media last year, said he is reading it and maybe we join for some action, about the most dangerous species on Earth (women).

Image

I`ve done the cover myself, from a drawing I did 30 years ago, as if I´d known! Haha!
