More about "The Christmas Invasion" has been revealed in the latest issue of SFX Magazine by Russell T Davies. "I love the title," he tells the magazine. "What else could you call it? It will be a great, adventure that's really big in scale. It will be Christmassy – there's nothing I like more than a Christmas special set at Christmas! There's a big story in it for Rose as well as a massive threat to the Earth going on beneath the surface, so Christmas as usual!" Says the article, "With the Doctor still suffering the after-effects of his regeneration, the TARDIS returns to Earth, arriving back at Rose’s council estate. The festive period is just beginning, but the Doctor, recuperating in his pyjamas, is too ill to enjoy it, while his companion attempts to come to terms with the fact that her best friend has changed his identity. But as Rose shares some quality time with her family and friends (Camille Coduri is back as Jackie Tyler, along with Noel Clarke as Mickey), an alien force is stirring. The Sycorax invasion is beginning... So what else can we expect from the story? 'I can tell you that the words 'Arthur Dent' are said in the Christmas special,' reveals Davies, rather teasingly. 'It's got scary Christmas trees, Santa attacks, there's an invasion, and the Doctor stays in bed for a long, long time,' Billie Piper recently told the press. 'I am carrying most of the show.'"

Yes. Both Jon Pertwee's and Tom Baker's Doctors became patients after their regenerations.

The Doctor never sleeps. Apparently.

Some companions have had their own room in the TARDIS, though.

I'm sure he sleeps sometimes but it just seems like he never does.

Although, he has been rendered unconcious. :)

A friend of mine (an electrician in his early 40s) recently worked on Dr Who. He was give the job of running a power feed to the Tardis which was postitioned on the end of a pier. When he reached the Tardis it was with quite a lot of trepidation that he opened the door, knowing that a lifetime of elusion was about to be shattered!

Of course Father Christmas exists. Didn't you follow in the yellow press his affair with Mother Nature?

New Time Lord David Tennant has insisted he won't be following in the footsteps of Christopher Eccleston and quitting after one series.

The Casanova star, who takes the TARDIS for a spin for the first time on Christmas Day, told tonight's Jonathan Ross Show: "It's a bit of a gamble. The danger is that you get stuck with it, but the other option is you don't do it. I didn't want to be that guy. As long as I don't get the sack, I'll do another series."

Meanwhile, Tennant admitted apprehension over the audience's reaction to his Doctor. "It's almost too exciting, all a bit daunting. It was the most successful TV show of the year; if it all goes wrong it's my fault."
