Gifted writer director producer; he'd also been an actor, and amongst other things he brought us the Pertwee era of Doctor Who in the 1970s.

Liam and I chatted with him in the green room in March this year at a Doctor Who convention in London; a treasured memory even before this sad news.

He was a true gentleman.

Happo...glad you said that first, because Pertwee was my fave era of Who too. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit it, but the Baker era didn't work for me, but then that was me as an 8 or 9 yr old, so I beg everyone else's forgiveness in that respect.
