If you mean the group, I liked what I heard of them when they supported Rush in '92....for some reason (probably something to do with buying a house and getting married straight after the concert), I never followed up my interest.

Concert ... house ... marriage - busy day!

My opinion of Primus is based solely on that horrid t-shirt my daughter wore when she was a teenager.
Perhaps it's time to give them a listen.

Primus sucks! (That's actually a vote of "yea" in Primus-speak.)

When I saw them last year, they played Sailing the Seas of Cheese in its entirety. In certain circles, that's the equivalent of Pink Floyd playing all of Dark Side of the Moon.

Anyone who likes Primus should check out early-1980s King Crimson for a similar sound, but with plenty of mind-blowing guitar work too.

My favorite blurb they used in advertising Tales From the Punchbowl :
If you didn't like the last Primus album, you probably won't like this one.

So... yea.

I like Primus, but I really only listen to them in occasional bursts. I'll go 8 months without so much as thinking of them, then I'll spend a month listening to nothing else. It's weird. But it happens to me with a surprisingly high number of bands.

Primus is cool. Definitely original. As a bass player myself, Les Claypool mesmerises me with his style. Favorite album would be Pork Soda. Favorite song, even though it gets overplayed, would be My Name is Mud.
