There are two different RSS-feeds on this site. One is for the News section, and the link to it is rss.php

The other one feeds new topics (not every single new post) in any of the forums, and the link is rss2.php

You will need to download and install an RSS reader.

I'm sorry, but what is an RSS feed?

I'm sorry, but I hate Google. Does that make me a bad person? Whenever I need info about something, I go to WikiPedia. If there's nothing inetersting there, well, then I might go to Google, but I just don't like it, for one reason or another.

Yes, that is exactly where I went to. After I had posted the question naturally...

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

RSS = Real Simple Syndication. Essentially, it's just another way of getting information via "live" bookmarks. Instead of logging into several websites to see news or new posts or a new podcast or whatever, an RSS reader will automatically fetch that information and list the headlines in one convenient location (ie, your reader). You can then click on whichever link/headline that appeals to you and you'll be taken to that website.

The best way to think of it is as someone coming to you with a platter of samples from various restaurants. Rather than getting in your car and driving to each restaurant and choosing which menu items you want, you can stay in one place (preferably, a comfy chair) and decide which restaurant(s) you'd like to go to based on the samples in front of you.

You can find RSS readers most anywhere. The Firefox web browser comes with a built-in reader.

Hopefully, this unmuddies the confusion a bit. Yahoo offers an RSS service and their FAQ is here. You might find it more helpful than my nattering.

I never said they were funny. They are just peaceful, lovable and understa... harmonic.

Don't be sorry, we all have different talents! Tolerance should be a common one but I confess I'm struggling with it sometimes, too. Which is actually my very own problem, thinking about it!
