There may be a competition or two here soon, with rather fancy prizes. They might well consist of sets of the new editions and maybe even tickets to Hitchcon.

Stay tuned.

I've got the prizes for a competition ready; they will consist of 5 sets of the new editions plus supplementary goodies (bookmark, badge and extra stickers).

Now all I have to do is think up the actual competition. I presume there is a stampeding interest amongst the DAC:ers in this?

I'm up for a competition.

As long as I win.

I hope it's a 'Writing your name in the snow' type competition?

Ok, so the nice Rough Guide people have graciously granted us 5 copies of the Rough Guide to H2G2 as prizes in competitions here. I think I need to think up a new kind of competition, the last one with all the pictures was fun but has perhaps played out its role for now.

Any suggestions?

How about pure old-fashioned lottery? Give people a day or two to let you know who wants to take part and let the improbability drive to pick the winners.

or

Best photo-manipulation of Duke in an embarrassing situation.

or

Vogon poetry (or even prose) competition.

With me as jury? Hmm. I think normal poetry is rather awkward stuff, might be fun to judge between the absolute creme de la creme, as creme, like turds, floats on the surface.

Lottery is boring, but an easy way and perhaps the justest.

I'd vote for the lego.

But of course, lego-competition would be fine. As long as I can use Duplos.

DUPLO is perfectly legal as it's a LEGO product. I draw the line at Mega-Bollocks though.

I think lego and photoshop competitions are unfair to people who don't have legos or photoshop.

How about Trivia?

You can buy bags of trivia at the lego store.
