great early novels by Pratchett. sci-fi rather than fantasy. wish he'd done more in this vein. rather than endlessly churning out Discworld books which grow rather tiresome after a while. how many now 30-odd?

strangely enough, i don´t think his discworld novels get tiring. from time to time there´s a novel whichc doesn´t feel as good as the others and i fear the creativity might wither, but then along comes a new book with a "bang".

i haven´t read strata/dark side. good, are they?

Strata is almost the proto-discworld story. A sci-fi story featuring a flat planet written before he'd done any Discworld novels (if I'm not mistaken)
