How do we feel about the Boosh, and how the hell does one explain it to Americans who have never seen it?

I've been a massive Boosh fan for... almost 5 years now. I love them! They are so very funny. I got to shake all their hands and get my DVDs signed this year, it was very thrilling. I wish they'd come back to America!

They are pretty hard to explain though, aren't they? You just gotta pick someone who seems like they might enjoy the show and force an episode on them, I think. That's how I got my boyfriend to like them. I showed him 'Hitcher.' An Irish friend of my dad's had us listen to the radio show when he came to visit us, that's how I became a fan.

I got introduced in France by a couple of my Brit friends, and I was pretty amazed. We went in order from series 1.

I just watched THIS for the first time a few days ago and was MASSIVELY CREEPED OUT.

Like, I... That clip kind of changed how I feel about the Boosh...

I've tried a few times to watch this on Adult Swim, but I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. This seems like something I should like given my other interests (Python, Hitchhiker, etc) but I just don't get it. I've been told that Adult Swim has been airing them out order. I don't if that makes any difference, plotwise, or not. The first episode I saw (and I believe the first one that was aired here in the states) was the one with with the weird green-skinned cockney chap who sings about eels. According to Wikipedia, its the first episode of season three. Anyway, it was really was pretty bizarre! :???:

Adult Swim cut all sorts of stuff out, or so I hear. The episodes being aired out of order shouldn't really cause a problem-- the Boosh aren't known for their devotion to continuity-- but the editing might. I don't know, I've never seen it on Adult Swim.

I'd start with an episode from series 1, if you feel so inclined-- Charlie, maybe, or Electro, or Hitcher. Try to find one of those as an uncut episode somewhere. They used to be on YouTube but the BBC usually pounces on them. I'm sure you can find them somewhere though.

Isn't this the show where Old Greg came from?
