Two TV (SVT and TV4) networks are on their way here now to interview me. I better take Nells advice and clean up a bit...

A moving story indeed. Good luck with everything, Dukey! Will you be on Dancing with the Arse as well?

It's the forumsoftware that don't like '(' and ')' in links you have to replace them with their ASCII-code '(' = %28 and ')' = %29 the same problem sometime arise when linking to wikipedia.

My Swedish is pretty rusty, but I think it's the about the arrest and incarceration of our glorious leader. He's been sentenced to twenty years building Volvos'.

Quite the opposite.

The Duke may not build Volvos anymore which is hot news in the distant South.

Well, you know those Southeners...

My Swedish isnt too good either, but seems like unemployment insurance fund is paying him some money after he lost his job. But there are quite strict regulations how much, if any, work you can do when they pay you. So Duke's blog at the local newspaper-site has been taken as a "job" even hes not getting any money of it. So he should stop, or tell the company how many hours he uses blogging, so they wouldnt pay about that time. And that means he is actually paying to be a blogger for a newspaper, instead of doing it free.
Apparently there has been other axamples of volunteer-work, or traveling, that is not allowed. Duke's situation seems to have created some discussion if this is the right way to handle unemployed people.

Have I understood correctly?

No. He's been arrested for despicable acts against humanity. And cats apparently?

Ah, I see.
I am in similar situation in that if I work too much in the next year I will get hit for heavy tax on my severance payment.

Finn has got the gist of the situation. If I blogg for half an hour, it costs me 5 euros. Being unemployed and earning round about 50 euros per day, from insurance. But this insurance doesn't allow me blogging. If I blog, I have to declare the time, and then they deduct that time. I am fighting for freedom of speech, although it sounds pretentious.

Damn right, sounds ludicrous to me, the law should be changed, you could also try the,"well its a way of finding a job, look at all the publicity it got me, you should be paying me more for doing the work of the job centre" approach.

Thinking about it more it's insanity, how can they say writing a blog, essentially keeping an online diary is working???? Then they wonder why the population is getting fatter and lazier, when the policy of the govt is to encourage you to be a lazy bastard.

Arrgh, ok this is getting ridiculous.

So when you were working, if you did overtime, did you have to pay extra insurance into the fund? I would bet the answer to that is yes.

Now it's time for you to get back some of what they took from you, through no fault of your own, after all I don't think you caused Volvo to lay you off and you would in fact rather still be contributing, they want to reduce it because you are posting your comments for free....

It's insane, keep at them Jenz.

This isn't big brother even, it's big fucker.
