Here in the US the hotly contested race for Governor of Washington (State, not DC) was so close they had to do two recounts. The winner won by... you guessed it 42 votes.

An omen that we should just sell ourselves back to Britain, because this experiment isn't working.

I suppose that the most embarrassing example of such was provided about four years ago. You all knew that we Americans couldn't read or talk. You then found out that we couldn't count, either.

What the hell. Make us an offer.

I think my motto since the elections have been "Fuck the Red States". Dems are going to bend over backwards to attempt to reach out to them. Why? Screw'em. Who needs NASCAR? This culture is dumbed down already, why bother making myself dumb just so I can relate to some sot who thinks I'm condemned to hell because I don't believe in his religion?

Even though I live in NJ, US I will say this: Kerry's a fucking lying asshole MOFO son of a bitch who I wouldn't elect for president if the only other choice was a Vogon toaster.

It pretty much applies to the other guy, too. But I can't disagree with you. Kerry's not worth it.

Neither Demos or Repubs care about people. All they care about is how much money they can make.

I thought America was supposed to have a division of church and state...

The thing that concerned me about Kerry was his position on online decency and encryption back in the 90s. By comparison, Ashcroft was a tiger lily.

How do you know? With Kerry for president, our country would be run into the ground. And, are you saying that a president is not allowed to have morals? In that case, maybe we should just let Saddam Hussein be president. Or Fidel Castro. They'd both make better presidents than Kerry anyway.

George Bush took a budget surplus & threw it away in only four years. You country now has record levels of debt.

He is forcing his homophobic agenda on the entire country. Kerry would not do that.

I like that in republicans. They are so fucking stubborn and their view of the world has two kind of people: Good Guys and pure evil. George Bush is a good guy, so he is always right, and no matter what he does he is always right. Saddam and Castro, however, are pure evil. They would rather kill everybody in the world before they do something sensible.

Wake up, you silly kid. There are no good guys and no bad guys. Just a bunch of guys. Bush is a bad president who wants to remove some personal liberties because he feels something is wrong and who has given your country a gigantic debt and Saddam just has other moral beliefs than you.

Every president has morals. Good morals, bad morals. Do you ever bother to ask yourself why, if this president wants to preserve the "sanctity of life", he's so eager to send Americans to die for fictitious reason. And obviously, he's pro-life so long as it's not Iraqi or, for the most part, Arab life.

Be gentle with him. I was once a right wing 13 year-old. But I was only a right wing 13 year-old because my parents were right wing.

But then I grew up. And I'm feeling much better these days, thank you. :)

Thanks for being the voice of reason. I've calmed down a bit now. At the time he posted his garbage he was also PM-ing me with slightly bizarre questions. It freaked me out a bit.

The Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore on a last second field goal kick by Shayne Graham. Bengals win 27-26. It was the first time they had won a game on the road against an opponent with a winning record since December 4th, 1990.

That losing streak lasted 42 games.

BACK ON TOPIC:

THe "brush man" arrived yesterday (actually Saturday as well). He's
this guy that drives around the country (in his old Mercedes to boot),
selling brushes and art stuff. (He buys close-outs, and of course
pretty much has no over-head -- lives life on the road, really hoopy
frood).

So, I asks him, "Are there more than one of you? I mean I've heard
from e-friends that there's a brush man up in Ohio and in Oregon."

Sez he, (looks me straight in the eye), "Yes. There are 42 of us."

(I go blink-blink) and say (some-what shyly) "42? You mean 42?"

Sez this super hoopy frood, "Yes. 42"

So you always know where your towel is then?

Dead serious he looks at me: Of course.

(he continues to put out more brushes out on the tables, and
the art students start comeing out into the hall to buy.

Wow!

(and on the topic of politics: WIBBLE!!!!)

I may be 13, but i know my stuff, thank you. calculatedly, Kerry's plans would cost our country 3 trillion more dollars than Bush's, would have major affirmative action, which is racist the other way and totaly unfair, and would flush us into more debt than bush could in his lifetime, plus Kerry has only ever said one thing he has not completely contradicted within the next 30 seconds: his name. Also, I have done my research, and know of what i am speaking. I am not right wing, I simply am for whoever is best for our country. And yes, it is a sad year when Bush is the best choice for our country. Bush is an absolute moron, but he is better than kerry is anyday.

Please disregard my bluntness (sorry seymore), but I have very strong feelings on this topic.

EDIT: Oh, and, I wrote this edit at 5:42 + 14

:D
i think we might be missing something here. or aarond is, i don´t know. i only know that a president´s performance mustn´t only be judged by his plans for the economy. that´s important, but it´s far from being THE important issue.
you said you did your research, aarond. only on economical issues? because on all other subjects i fail to see how mr. bush made the usa a better and happier country in these last four years.

There's one thing you can't disagree with bush on:
George W. Bush wrote:
We're going to have the best educated American people in the World.

I don't like Bush, but don't just go about "misunderestimating" him and misoverestimating Kerry now. Bush is better in everything except for environment. if u would like an excact essay why, too bad. i am lazy and do not like writing. Just maybe I'll audiorecord one for u. Maybe.

Like you, I don't misunderestimate Bush. I don't buy into his folksy charm (he's Ivy league educated) nor do I buy into the whole "he's stupid" meme (ibid). Horrible businessman, sure. Possible early case senile dementia, maybe. But he's not dumb and he ain't plain folks.

However, I do disagree that he's a lot worse for this country than Kerry could be. One needs only look at his hesitation to spend his "political" "collateral" from his "election" "mandate" on the recent intel reform after it stalled in Congress.
