Beetlejuice 2, really?

Yes. After 23 years the green light has been lit for a sequel to Tim Burtons movie Beetlejuice, who back then starred Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. Screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith (Pride, Prejudice and Zombies) has been signed to pen the, as my gut feeling describes it, ghastly thing.

Mos Def goes Yasiin

Rapper and actor Mos Def, whom you might remember as Ford Prefect from the H2G2 movie, has had it up to here with his name, and has now decided to change it to, of all possible things, Yasiin. We have as of yet no information on what has caused this strange decision, or if it’s just a joke, so for the time being we will have to assume that the bugger knows what the hell he’s doing.

So remember, if you in the future want to Google Mos Def, write Yasiin. Not Mos Def after all.

Jane Belson 1952-2011

The widow of Douglas Adams and mother of Polly, Jane Belson, has passed away aged 59. She had been battling breast cancer for a number of months, and she passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning (September 7). Our hearts and love go out to Polly, Janes husband George and his children, James, Sue and all others concerned and close.

H2G2 computer game has green light!

Douglas Adams agent, Ed Victor, has struck a deal with the american company Hothead to produce a “H2G2 related computer game”. I’m trying to get hold of a company representative, Oliver Birch, for some more in depth information. I’ll be back on this as soon as anything appears. In the meantime, check out this site: http://www.thenewhitchhikersguide.com/

Note the smiley silly green fucker. It’s a bit worrying. I hope they’re not intending to use it.

Forum up

I appear to have managed to get the forums going again. I had to completely remove all the software and reinstall them, plus update the database. Everything seems to be working now, albeit a bit slowly. I’ll try and find time to sit down and work with the templates and themes later on.

Forum down

Sorry to say that the forums are currently all down and unavailable. This is due to some software bugs which make logging on impossible for many members, including the admin. I am looking to solve the issue, but may be a while yet.

Cheers
Dukey
